NEW YORK DISCUSSION LUNCHEONS

For the last 35 years, the National Institute has sponsored Issues Discussion Luncheons in New York City. The 2017 luncheon featured Dr. Bruce Stillman, the president and CEO of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, who spoke about "Changing Human Genes: Choices for Humanity" focusing on CRISPR-Cas9.

FLORIDA DISCUSSION LUNCHEONS

The Florida Chapter of the National Institute of Social Sciences, headquartered in Palm Beach, hosts stimulating discussion luncheons each spring. Recent speakers have included Kent Barwick, former head of the Municipal Arts Society in New York City, Adele Chatfield-Taylor, former head of the American Academy in Rome, and Robert B. Semple, Jr., former editorial page editor at the New York Times.
