Alexandra Dildine (2025)
Alexandra Dildine is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at Johns Hopkins University. Her research interests include the ways in which ordinary people come together to advocate for change at the local, state, and national levels – in particular, how communities are built on and offline, the challenges and opportunities of doing so in a digital society, and the organizational strategies and structures that support them. She also studies how to bring people together across lines of difference to solve public problems.
Prior to graduate school, she was the digital organizing director for Organizing for Action, President Obama’s community organizing non-profit that sought to support and develop the thousands of volunteers who stepped up to make a difference in their local communities – and the subsequent ones who, inspired, wanted to learn how to do the same. Alexandra is a summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Barnard College of Columbia University.
