You are cordially invited to the 111th Annual Gold Medal Gala, honoring Christopher Eisgruber, Claudia Goldin, and Alison Gopnik. This event will take place live in person on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 6:00 to 9:30 pm Eastern Time at the Metropolitan Club in New York City.
As many of you know, the annual Gold Medal Gala, honoring extraordinary individuals who have made the highest contribution to the improvement of society, has been a National Institute tradition since 1913. We look forward to gathering in person to meet old friends, make new ones, and celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of our Honorees.
Join us for an inspiring evening to honor this year’s Gold Medal Honorees, support the work of the National Institute, and socialize with new and old friends, all from the magnificent venue of the Great Hall of the Metropolitan Club of New York City.

Funds raised by the Gold Medal Gala will support the National Institute’s ongoing mission to directly and indirectly support the study of the social sciences and sponsor public discussion of pressing social challenges. Your ongoing support is more important than ever, and our mission has never been more timely as society continues to face unprecedented societal, economic, and political challenges. Your generosity will enable the National Institute to deliver our mission objectives.
In addition, you will have the option to allocate up to 30% of your ticket purchase toward the National Institute’s Grants Program upon checkout. The Grants Program provides direct financial support to graduate students in the social sciences.
